President Donald Trump touched down in Britain on Thursday, where he will get the red carpet treatment on a brief visit: Military bands at a gala dinner, lunch with the prime minister at her country residence, then tea with the queen at Windsor Castle before flying off to one of his golf clubs in Scotland.

"I said I'm going to a few hot spots".

The demonstration is organised by 'Scotland United Against Trump.' It is to be noted that the US President is also expected to visit Scotland, where he owns a number of golf resorts, the day after his visit to London, read a statement by the Foreign Press Association.

Opponents to the controversial USA leader have threatened mass protests but Mr Trump is expected to avoid areas such as central London where demonstrators are likely to gather.

Protests are expected at every stop Trump makes along the way, including a caricature blimp of him as a baby holding a smartphone flown near Parliament on Friday.

"The president knows how important the special relationship is firsthand and that's why the bust of Churchill is actually in the Oval Office as we speak".

Trump is not expected to spend time in central London.

Hundreds of thousands are predicted to come on to the streets to demonstrate against a man they described as "dangerous and divisive".

"I think that's why Brexit happened".

Trade tariffs will harm the world
However, Lighthizer still left some room for potential negotiations with China before the new round of tariffs. As with previous rounds of tariffs, the new list takes special aim at "Made in China 2025" products.

The idea is to remove the financial incentive for insurers to "cherry-pick" healthier customers. Democrats say that the cuts are more evidence of Trump officials sabotaging the health law.

People who are immunocompromised like HIV/Aids patients, elderly people, pregnant women and children are affected by Listeriosis. Nine deaths in Europe have been reported during the outbreak, which is believed to have started at a packaging plant in Hungary.

The American president will barely set foot in the capital.

Trump flew in after a fraught North Atlantic Treaty Organisation summit in Brussels where he piled pressure on allies to double their defence spending.

Just hours before arriving in London, the U.S. president questioned progress in Brexit talks and Britain's new plan to remain close to the European Union on regulatory standards for goods.

Mr Trump said earlier this week that the United Kingdom is in "turmoil" and "it is up to the people" whether Mrs May stays as prime minister after Boris Johnson and David Davis quit the cabinet over her Brexit policy.

May hopes Trump, who landed at Stansted airport before flying by helicopter to the USA ambassador's London residence, will help to accelerate a future free trade deal, though his public comments on Brexit cast a shadow over the visit.

She says they have "turned a blind eye" to the situation.

In the busy south London neighborhood of Brixton, Victor Greetham, who runs a jazz bar, said he hasn't been to a demonstration since he protested against the Iraq War in 2003, but he planned to attend one of the protests against Trump's visit.

Then on Monday, he will be off to Helsinki to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

May will host Trump and tuxedo-clad government ministers and representatives of fund managers BlackRock and Blackstone Group, as well as Arup and drinks manufacturer Diageo, for a dinner of Scottish salmon, beef and strawberries and clotted cream ice cream to discuss post-Brexit trade.
