Listeria death in Victoria linked to strain found in recalled frozen vegetables

Food Standards Australia New Zealand issued the recall on Monday which led to people checking their freezers for the products which may be contaminated. Woolworths said it regards food safety as "of critical importance".

National distribution, only products with country of origin of Belgium, United Kingdom or Hungary, all other countries not affected.

What products are on recall?

At this stage, Greenyard says that it does not have specific data or confirmation on health issues linked to contamination of its products, but that it is continuing to monitor this and has taken a range of measures to pre-empt potential health risks.

The NSW Government's Food Authority confirmed the recall in a statement this afternoon.

"We endorse the advice to cook frozen products until it has reached 70°C and stayed at that temperature for at least two minutes".
