The diver who spoke to AFP said the boys were "groggy" but "breathing" when he helped to pull them out, while the BBC reported that according to divers, the boys were "heavily sedated to avoid anxiety".

In an operation that gripped the entire world, all 12 boys and their football coach have been successfully rescued from a cave in Thailand after being trapped for more than two weeks.

The decision, a response to the worldwide outpouring of love and support during the hard operation to rescue the boys, draws attention to the large numbers of stateless people living in Thailand, especially in its border regions. "I don't have any details about when they were being transferred from the cave", he said. "Our department had a..."

The complex, high-risk mission for global and Thai divers to guide the boys and coach through the cave's flooded and tight passageways had riveted people worldwide.

Concerns are already being raised on social media that the movie could be "white-washed", focusing more on the global characters while downplaying the role of Thais. The third and final group, including the soccer team's 25-year-old coach, who were all evacuated Tuesday, are taking antibiotics and at least some had lung infections.

Nopparat Kanthawong, the head coach of the Wild Boars team, told CNN that he did not know why the boys had gone into the cave.

Michael Scott, the CEO and co-founder of Pure Flix Entertainment, was assisting in rescue efforts at the foothills of the Tham Luang mountain cave systems in Chiang Rai, as he lives in Thailand part-time.

The daring operation was carried out with the help of global rescue workers and ultimately resulted in the death of only one man - a Thai rescue diver on Friday last week.

Officials plan an interactive museum at the Tham Luang cave based on the historic rescue mission that will feature items such as clothing that key rescuers wore during the operation, Narongsak said.

Thai doctors said the boys each lost about 2 kilograms, or roughly 4.5 pounds, from the ordeal.

Thailand's decision to dive the boys out despite their weak condition and lack of diving experience was made when a window of opportunity was provided by relatively mild weather. They were able to obtain water dripping inside the cave. And the confidence of the diving team, and expertise specific to the cave, grew after its first successful mission Sunday.

"The favourable outcome that has been achieved is nearly beyond our imagination when we first became involved", they said.

But Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha said on Tuesday extra precautions would have be implemented both inside and outside the cave to safeguard tourists.

The government's efforts, the assistance of people in Thailand and overseas, and the outpouring of moral support made the mission a success, Prayuth said in a televised national address. The other five on the team were Thai navy SEAL divers.
