Microsoft will continue to offer the full featured version, which increases storage allocation to 1 TB and grants full access to the Office 365 suite of web productivity tools.

Microsoft is also integrating its translation technology to improve collaboration between multi-language teams (available now for paid users, later in the year for free ones). Slack also limits free users to 10 app integrations, 5GB file storage, and audio and video calling for 1:1 conversations only. In addition to the 300-user limit, the free Teams supports up to 2 GB file storage per user, up to 10 GB per team. The system is created to enable organizations to reach optimum communication and collaboration-from anywhere in the world.

However he cautioned the free offer could make work for enterprise Microsoft shops unless managed.
