When a Twitter user called Musk out for labeling a rescue diver a "pedo", the entrepreneur doubled down on his claim, saying, "Bet ya signed dollar it's true".

Musk was apparently infuriated by British diver Vern Unsworth, who stated very publicly that he believed Musk's involvement in the ordeal was simply a public relations stunt.

Unsworth had stated that he felt Musk's submersible had no chance of ever working for that specific rescue because it was too big and rigid for the caverns, and as can be seen at a column on the Inquisitr.

Musk then tweeted of Unsworth: "Never saw this British expat guy who lives in Thailand (sus) at any point when we were in the caves". Lashing out and calling a guy who was actually part of the rescue operation in a measurable way a pedophile is probably not a great move! Highlighting the dangers, a former Thai navy SEAL volunteering to work on the rescue effort died Friday while replenishing oxygen canisters that were placed along the escape route.

In an interview with Bloomberg just a week ago, Musk said he would try and temper his Twitter usage.

You're imagining Elon Musk.

"He was one of the driving forces in getting everything done and clarifying for us divers what was going on".
