Accentuating his uniform with an American flag sleeve and a District of Columbia flag bandanna, Harper hit 19 home runs in the final round to beat out Chicago Cubs slugger Kyle Schwarber by a single blast.

Aguilar went out in the very first matchup, and the event was doomed to lose another of one of the biggest names since Harper and Freeman faced each other in the first round. This is the year for Cubs surprises, and what better way to accomplish that then to give all of the fans out there an all-Cubs Derby finale. Bryce Harper threw his bat in the air, thrust both index fingers skyward and yelled with delight as a shower of streamers rained upon the crowd of 43,698. Schwarber has put up an impressive first half of the season with 17 home runs, 39 runs batted in as well as 3 stolen bases. Against Kyle Schwarber he rallied hard, matching Schwarber's 18 home runs in the last second.

Chandler owns Chandler Bats and made this bat for Hoskins, as well as one for derby favorite Bryce Harper.

After Freeman hit 12 home runs over the 4-minute span, Harper unleashed six shots of at least 440 feet and secured the victory with a drive to center long before the clock expired.

Hoskins just had a much quicker pace than Aguilar, who took his time between swings, as did his pitcher.

It's been a trying season for Harper, who's hitting only.214 for the disappointing Nationals. For comparison, Aguilar leads the National League at the All-Star break with 24 home runs.

"I think four minutes is a long time to hit", Hoskins said, referring to the time each contestant had in each round.

The All-Star Home Run Derby used to capture the imagination of fans and All-Stars alike, but it appears that numerous game's biggest boppers have cooled on the idea.
