According to CNN, during a regular early morning cleaning service on an American Airlines plane, a cleaning crew found "what appears to be a fetus" in one of the bathrooms.

Fetus was thought to be 5 months along.

Port Authority police officers surrounded the jet on the tarmac Tuesday after the plane was removed from the hangar, according to photos from the scene. It was the Airbus A321's only flight of the day.

The Medical Examiner issued a statement: "we're investigating what we believe to be a human fetus found deceased on an airplane".
