Nintendo Switch Online's September release window gets narrowed down

Many Nintendo Switch players have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the online service as a way to expand the playable horizons even more for the hybrid console.

Nintendo has narrowed down the release date for its online Nintendo Switch service, confirming on Twitter that it will debut in the second half of September this year. "Online features will be free until the Nintendo Switch Online Service launches in 2018". That means we're likely around six weeks out from launch at the point, but until we get a specific release date, that's all just speculation.

Additionally, Save Data Cloud backup will now be implemented, giving players the option to send and receive game data at the drop of a hat which provides peace of mind should a player lose or damage their system.

Right now, we know for sure that " Splatoon 2", "ARMS", "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe", "Mario Tennis Aces.", and "Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido" will require the subscription, and other games will "vary".
