The special fridges will automatically unlock celebratory beers after Cleveland gets its first regular season win, the team announced.

It's been 599 days since the Browns last win. If the Browns have yet another winless season, fans will spend all those games staring longingly at the beer locked away in those fridges, never to be released.

Powered by Bud-E Fridge smart technology, the Bud Light Browns Victory Fridge is the brand's latest innovative technology to help create unique experiences for National Football League fans.

In 2017 the team went 0-16. "We have the most passionate, loyal fans in sports, and we are excited to partner with Bud Light on this promotion that they created specifically for Northeast Ohio due to Browns fans' unmatched support of our team".

Once the fridges unlock, free beer will available to fans at each establishment. Team officials have also embraced the reward.

"Obviously, we are nowhere near satisfied with our win totals in recent seasons, and our fans deserve much better", said Dave Jenkins, Browns Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer.

The Browns will open the regular season on September 9 when they host the Pittsburgh Steelers.
