Former Real Madrid boss, Zinedine Zidane wants to replace Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.

Zidane was linked with the France manager's job but Didier Deschamps chose to continue in the role following their World Cup triumph.

Now, French publication L'Equipe claim that Zidane is eyeing a move to the Premier League. Here's an excerpt of the report:Manchester United have started preliminary work in their search for a new director of football, and began sounding out potential candidates and expertise, in what is set to be a rigorous search for what is seen as one of the most important appointments in the club's history.

The Frenchman left Real Madrid at the end of last season after completing a hat-trick of Champions League successes and has yet to take another post.
