Asked if he would still be at the club if Conte hadn't left, Willian said: "No chance".

Antonio Conte had managed to unsettle a number of Chelsea's stars.

Willian insists there is "no chance" he would still be a Chelsea player if Antonio Conte had remained in charge at Stamford Bridge, Skysports reports.

The French midfielder has endured an incredible few years in his career, winning the Premier League with Leicester in 2015/16 and Chelsea the following season, before becoming a World Cup victor this summer.

However, the Italian paid for fallouts with a number of senior players and failing to qualify for the Champions League when he was finally dismissed after months of speculation over his future.

Manchester United and Barcelona were both interested signing the 29-year-old this summer after news emerged of a rift between the Willian and Conte.

L'Equipe: Zidane wants to take over at Manchester United
But Berbatov believes Pogba and Mourinho will eventually work it out and doubts the midfielder will leave the Red Devils . Mourinho is under vast pressure this season after failing to win a trophy at Old Trafford in the 2017-18 campaign.

The winger is confident that Sarri's tactics will help rectify Chelsea's recent poor record against Arsenal, where they had just one win in eight matches under previous manager Antonio Conte, when they meet in Saturday's league match.

But Loftus-Cheek's Huddersfield cameo follows claims from Palace boss Roy Hodgson that Chelsea denied Loftus-Cheek a return to Selhurst Park earlier in the summer because they did not want to loan him out.

"That's why Sarri talked about "fun" football because he wants to build from the back".

He continued: "We had a period at the start where we didn't get a win for seven games".

"Playing in a 4-3-3 in an attacking midfield position is kind of my position really, my suited position, so hopefully I can bring my best football to the team".

"I think that's a masterstroke. Now we have a different style, that's why we can create problems for Arsenal".
