According to L'Equipe, the 46-year-old is now keen to test his ability in the English top flight, and is especially interested in taking charge of Manchester United.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has suggested that Jesse Lingard and Romelu Lukaku will be ready to return against Brighton in the Premier League on Sunday.

Zidane addresses the press in previous interview where he announced his exit from Real Madrid.

The French legend also won La Liga with Madrid in 2017, as well as two Club World Cup trophies during his two-and-a-half years as first-team manager at the Bernabeu.

Barcelona director Ariedo Braida now claims they will not bid for the France midfielder this summer, although they do admire the World Cup victor.

But Berbatov believes Pogba and Mourinho will eventually work it out and doubts the midfielder will leave the Red Devils.

Mourinho is under vast pressure this season after failing to win a trophy at Old Trafford in the 2017-18 campaign.

United finished with 19 points behind champions and cross-town rivals Manchester City in the league last term.

United's manager is said to have berated Pogba during a heated 20-minute meeting in his office.

"United seem to be not too sure what's going on".

United manager Jose Mourinho has expressed his frustration over the club's transfer activity on multiple occasions, with goalkeeper Lee Grant, midfielder Fred and defender Diogo Dalot the only new arrivals ahead of this season.

The pair are said to have clashed with Mourinho telling Pogba if he wanted to quit the club "again" he should hand in a transfer request. However, should Zidane contact the United hierarchy about becoming their manager, they will need to make a quick decision or risk losing the Frenchman to another Premier League club.
