Stormy Daniels has explained why she chose to drop out of Celebrity Big Brother at the last minute, saying it was due to a custody issue involving her daughter.

The adult film star, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, was poised to appear Thursday on "Big Brother", but was not among the personalities featured on the show's premiere.

Despite being on perhaps the biggest reality show on TV past year, Love Island's Gabby Allen is sat right at the bottom end of the CBB salary list, reportedly only be scooping up £40,000 for her time on the show, which is actually a ton of money but pales in comparison with the £750,000 being dished out to others. She said being a mother comes first.

Adams said negotiations for Daniels, 39, to appear on the show began at 8am on Friday morning, and that she arrived in the studio's building just after 12pm.

"She says that, late last night, she was due to be on Celebrity Big Brother and there was a custody development involving her daughter in America - she is in the middle of a divorce". "What she wants to do, she says, this is all "allegedly", is she said, 'I will go on the live shows". I'm now involved in a media storm involving the United States President and it has been shown on every news outlet around the world and it has drastically changed my life.

"She thought, "I can't commit".

"Any money she was getting, she was going to donate to charity", Jane explained.

Moore said Daniels offered to appear on the Celebrity Big Brother live launch to explain the situation but was told she could not.

Stormy Daniels was expected to star in the United Kingdom version of "Celebrity Big Brother".

Meanwhile, Big Brother producers released their own statement on Twitter.

"Reports suggested that she initially had agreed a fee of close to $1M to appear on the monthlong shoot before backing out of that deal and agreeing to a lower amount of $250,000 to stay for one week", states Deadline, adding that Britain's Channel 5 declined to comment.

The adult film star, who made worldwide headlines with claims she was paid hush money over an alleged affair with Donald Trump, had been confirmed to feature in the Channel 5 show.

"Producers discussed a variety of options with her but were unable to agree any acceptable conditions for her entering the house", a spokeswoman added.

Last night, Celebrity Big Brother kicked off.

Daniels's absence from the show - whose cast includes former Cheers star Kirstie Alley - was slammed by viewers.
