Satyameva Jayate Box Office Collections Day 4: Stays Good On Saturday

After collecting a total collection of Rs. 43 crore on Friday, the film is likely to cross Rs 50-crore mark at the box office. Gold registered a big hike in its collection on day 4.

Akshay Kumar's Gold and John Abraham's Satyameva Jayate have proved that a same day release may after all not be a bad a thing. Despite sharing the box office business with John Abraham's "Satyameva Jayate", the film has managed to sail through in the number game. Both films collected Rs 45 crore on day one of release on August 15.

Reema Kagti's Gold managed to collect Rs 25.25 crore on opening day while Milap Zaveri's Satyameva Jayate minted Rs 20.52 crore. "Yes, the box office is on fire". According to Boxofficeindia it is the highest opening day ever for an Akshay Kumar film as it beat the Rs 16.98 crore worth collection of Singh Is Bling, which was released on Gandhi Jayanti (October 2) in 2015. Satyameva Jayate, meanwhile, ranks sixth in the list with 42.5%. His satirical comedy Toilet: Ek Prem Katha released this time previous year had made Rs 11.34 crore on its opening day and Rs. 132.07 crore in lifetime box office collections.
