Tropical Storm Ernesto forms in Atlantic: NHC

Tropical Storm Lane pushed westward across the eastern Pacific on Thursday, while Subtropical Storm Ernesto headed across the northern Atlantic in the general direction of Ireland and the United Kingdom.

However, they warned: "Heavier rain with strengthening winds will develop during the evening along the Atlantic Seaboard". If this continues to show up in the forecast guidance we will be talking about the potential for lows in the 50s and 60s! This disturbance is moving westward at about 15 miles per hour and is forecast to move through the islands on Saturday, where it could bring locally heavy rainfall to portions of the Lesser Antilles during the next couple of days. Breezy as well with fresh and gusty south to southwest winds, strong in some coastal areas.

Tomorrow could see highs of between 20C and 25C in Leinster and Munster and 18C to 20C in the north and west.

Unfortunately the rain looks set to stay with next weeks outlook predicted to be just as damp.
