Having already faced the threat of losing Alexis Sanchez and Ozil on a free in recent years Arsenal are desperate to prevent Ramsey from flying the coop.

Ramsey is reportedly willing to bide his time in order to improve his bargaining position as he holds out for an offer in excess of £250,000 per week.

The Welsh midfielder has just 11 months left on his deal, and can start speaking to others clubs in January.

Interest in Arsenal's contract rebel Aaron Ramsey is increasing with Barcelona, Lazio and the Chinese Super League all circling.

There is no denying that the 27-year-old is an instrumental player for the Gunners.

Chelsea held talks with Liverpool target Nabil Fekir, over the summer but opted against signing the France global.

Ramsey is in the final year of his contract at the Emirates Stadium and would be available on a free transfer next summer - or potentially for a cut price in January - if no new deal is agreed with the club.

The situation has alerted rival Premier League teams as the report says Manchester United and Chelsea are monitoring developments closely and are ready to swoop if Ramsey doesn't pen a new deal in north London. "I think he wants to play higher up the pitch and I get the feeling it was more Ramsey's decision than Emery's".
