"It wasn't until I had two little angels come into my life, that everything changed.my whole life became clearer in every way", she said of her children.

"None of this would've happened, could've happened without our lady of soul".

The singer was presenting the award for best video at last night's VMAs when she made a decision to say a few words about the Queen of Soul who passed away last week. She credited that failure with launching her into a different opportunity that led to the rest of her career.

Others questioned why Madonna was chosen to deliver Franklin's tribute over artists who were more closely associated with her.

"The pop star - donning shoulder-length braids, a thorn-like headpiece and a long flowing black poncho - went on to tell a story about a time when she performed an impromptu version of Franklin's "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" at an audition, but that was one of the only mentions of Franklin.

The Eagles lost founding member Glenn Frey in January 2016 but continue to tour with Don Henley , Joe Walsh and Timothy B. It's one of those things that have been true since we were born, and maybe even since the beginning of time.

Social Media 'Closing Down' Conservative Opinions
This time around, he did not bash any politician or country, rather he complained about social media's discriminating agenda. Twitter denied the allegations that it was targeting conservative accounts only and fixed the search feature.

Many fans felt Madonna failed to give enough respect to Aretha Franklin, pictured on screen, at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Aretha Franklin died last week at the age of 76. I said, 'Bitch, I'm Madonna.' No, I didn't, I didn't say that. You honor a legend by telling their story or SHUT UP. "Long live the queen", Twitter immediately dragged, roasted and read Madonna for filth for making the tribute about herself and her journey as a pop star - whether it was intentional or not.

Marc Snetiker of Entertainment Weekly described the speech on Twitter as "Madonna presents an Aretha Franklin tribute by Madonna featuring Madonna with Madonna and Madonna as "Madonna".

"Does Madonna know Madonna didn't die?" The Queen of Soul will lie in state from 9 a.m.to 9 p.m. on August 28 and 29.

Of course, once Madonna stepped out onto the stage in an outfit that was pieced together from the appropriation rack from Urban Outfitters, it was clear the "Like a Virgin" singer was going to embarrass herself far more severely than if she tried to sing one of Franklin's songs. "@MTV our handsome black queen deserves better", wrote one user. She even offered auxiliary details about "getting robbed, held at gunpoint, and being mistaken for a prostitute in my third-floor walk-up that was a crack house", which probably didn't need to be included in a tribute about someone else.
