Manchester United's Jose Mourinho changes course and won't criticise individual players

The second weekend of the 2018/2019 Premier League season is over, and it delivered one of the shocks of the season, as Brighton and Hove Albion defeated Manchester United 3-2 at the Amex stadium. What he was basically saying is that he's been told to work with the players he's been given.

Manchester United players, most of all Pogba, earned rave reviews at the World Cup but are already struggling to replicate those performances back in a red shirt.

While Fred is an undoubted talent (we witnessed that much at Shaktar Donetsk), however, on account of his performances in the red of Manchester United so far, fans at Old Trafford might have to wait a while to see the best of the Brazilian.

Brighton began on the front foot, Solly March's cross cleared by Pogba and then Gross attempting to flick on an Anthony Knockaert delivery only for United to get it away.

This, again, is a sign of a Mourinho collapse. "Would be sleepless nights to find Pogba a new club".

Murray hailed Brighton boss Chris Hughton for handing him the chance to extend his top-flight career, and insisted more lower-league stars can thrive in the Premier League.

OU No. 7 in Preseason AP Top 25
It marks the fourth time in eight seasons under coach Dana Holgorsen that the Mountaineers were ranked in the preseason. Texas, which hasn't been ranked in the final AP poll since 2012, is No. 23 for the second consecutive season.

Social Media 'Closing Down' Conservative Opinions
This time around, he did not bash any politician or country, rather he complained about social media's discriminating agenda. Twitter denied the allegations that it was targeting conservative accounts only and fixed the search feature.

Despite obvious deficiencies in the squad, there remains a belief in various quarters of the club that United still boast an abundance of talented players and should at least be capable of making a credible challenge for the title. He wasn't the only one, and if the situation worsens the Frenchman is unlikely to rouse himself to greater urgency in the weeks ahead. Should they fail to win either of these two matches then games against Watford, Wolves, and West Ham could be very hard indeed.

But as critics of Mourinho have been quick to point out - both those central defenders were signed by the former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager. Don't get me wrong - the club has supported him. Mourinho can not start with this pair on the same side in the next match.

He is now the favourite to be the first Premier League manager sacked this season and Sharpe, who won three league titles during his eight years with United, can't see Mourinho lasting beyond the midway point of this campaign.

"It's lump it forward, play off the bits and see where we go from that". The ghost of Chelsea's 2015/16 season will make a reappearance in the corridors of Old Trafford should things get worse.

"The current atmosphere doesn't benefit anyone", one source said.

That reprieve lasted just 10 minutes, however, before more rash defending by Bailly allowed Brighton to restore their two-goal lead when he brought down Gross, who converted from the spot. However, his individualistic approach to management, coupled with his relatively hands-off tactical approach, is precisely the opposite of what United need. United could line him up for the end of the season and go with a stop-gap in the meantime.
