Danny Boyle departs James Bond over 'creative differences'

The 25th, a so far untitled film, is the Bond spy franchise owned by MGM is now in production and was expected to be released in November 2019.

The Trainspotting director will not be making the next 007 film. The official James Bond Twitter account announced the news Tuesday.

Danny Boyle will no longer direct the next James Bond film, with "creative differences" given as the reason for the parting of ways.

Production on the film was set to begin towards the end of the year, with Danny Boyle directing from a script written by John Hodge.

The pair previously worked together on a short film for the London 2012 Olympics. "My name's Elba, Idris Elba", the actor tweeted.
