It's happening! Finally! Veronica Mars isn't so dead, after all. After Kristen Bell previously revealed in interviews that she would love to reprise her title role again, it looks like she's getting that chance very soon!

Although the Variety report said it wasn't yet known if other cast members would return, many of Bell's co-stars, including Tina Majorino, Chris Lowell, Percy Daggs III, Francis Capra and Ryan Hansen, did act in the 2014 film. Variety reports the revival series would shoot around her schedule; this would likely lend itself to a limited series.

The show originally ran on USA screens between 2004 and 2007, winning critical acclaim and a devoted following, but never quite cracking a big viewership.

Deadline confirms that Veronica Mars will also not interfere with Bell's role on NBC's The Good Place, so seriously, we get to have cake and eat it too. At the Television Critics Association winter press tour, he explained that he was thinking of making the series return consist of at least six hour-long episodes. So we want to do a miniseries. "If I were a betting man, I bet that it will happen".

The show is on its second season, and according to Entertainment Weekly, Bell will be able to work on both The Good Place and Veronica Mars. Original series creator Rob Thomas is set to return as well. It ran for a third season on the CW and was cancelled in 2007. Fans made headlines back in 2016 when their campaign for the movie surpassed its goal of $2 million and made a whopping $6 million.

Personally, and I think that Rob probably agrees, (A) we'll never make the fans pay for it again, (B) the format works better in an episodic, where you get a little more of it.
