Federer loses to Millman, crashes out of US Open

The victor will face Novak Djokovic or Joao Sousa on Wednesday for a spot in Friday's semifinals.

Nishikori defeated Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-3 6-2 7-5 while Cilic was a 7-6 (8/6) 6-2 6-4 victor against David Goffin.

Nishikori will fight for a semi-final berth against Croatian Marin Cilic, who beat him in the 2014 final.
