The storm was 625 miles (1,005 kilometers) southeast of the British North Atlantic island territory of Bermuda at 0900 GMT Monday, and was forecast "to become a major hurricane" Monday morning, the National Hurricane Center said.

In the Pacific, Hurricane Olivia is now a Category 1 storm with winds of 75 mph, and is approximately 595 miles east-northeast of Hilo, Hawaii, as of 5 p.m. local time Sunday.

Its center will move between Bermuda and the Bahamas on Tuesday and Wednesday and approach the coast of SC or North Carolina on Thursday, the National Hurricane Center said.

The hurricane is expected to remain a powerful storm for the next few days, and it has the potential to become a Category 5 Hurricane, according to Walsh.

And the impact won't just be along the coasts of SC and North Carolina, where the storm is expected to make landfall.

Florence was about 580 miles southeast of Bermuda as of 11 a.m. ET Monday.

The current forecast track predicts that Florence will approach the southeast US coast on Thursday.

U.S. President Donald Trump, whose administration was criticized as being slow to respond to Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico a year ago, canceled a political rally planned for Friday in Jackson, Mississippi, over safety concerns related to Florence, his campaign said. "These swells are likely to cause life-threatening surf and rip current conditions".

Earlier Sunday Florence regained its hurricane status and rapid strengthening from here is expected since the storm is encountering less wind shear and warm waters.

Hurricane Isaac was expected to lose strength as it reaches the Caribbean, and Helene, much farther out to sea, may veer northward into the open ocean as the 2018 hurricane season reaches its peak.

Bolton: We Will No Longer Cooperate With the ICC
Bolton suggested the ICC was created to attack US leadership, not to truly hold egregious worldwide criminals accountable. The moves are likely to harden Palestinian resistance to the US role as a peace broker.

BMW Championship tee times, pairings: When Tiger Woods starts in Round 4
That included Tiger Woods , who missed only two greens in regulation, kept a clean card, shot 66 and let a good round get away. The first groups are scheduled to tee off at 7.30 a.m. local time (1130 GMT), with the final threesome out at 9.20.

Storm-force winds could begin buffeting the Carolina coast by Wednesday night, the NHC said.

Gov. Roy Cooper declared a state of emergency and is urging all North Carolinians to prepare.

Landfall could be made between SC and North Carolina on Thursday, according to NHC predictions.

Olivia is expected to move west through Monday before turning west-southwest late Monday and early Tuesday local time. It is now 1,305 miles east of the Windward Islands, which are in the West Indies, and moving westward at 14 mph. Florence now has maximum sustained winds of 115 miles per hour, and gusts up to 140 miles per hour, making it a major hurricane capable of doing "devastating" damage.

Authorities anxious about the storm's potential to unleash prolonged torrential rains and widespread flooding across several states, especially if it lingers inland for several days.

Florence grew into a major hurricane on Monday morning and was upgraded again to a Category 4 on the five-step Saffir-Simpson scale of hurricane strength at midday as its top sustained wind speeds reached 130 miles per hour. What's worrisome is that the storm could stall at that point and wring out heavy, flooding rains throughout the area.

At the same time, the Met Service said Helene is moving towards the west near 22 km/h, and this motion is expected to continue through today.

The center also said that Hurricane Isaac has become the 5th named hurricane of the 2018 Atlantic season.

Graham urged coastal residents to finish their planning before the arrival of tropical-storm-force windows on Wednesday. The NHC now shows Isaac heading west across the tropical Atlantic between South America and the Caribbean, but a path and intensity beyond that is unknown as it moves toward the Lesser Antilles.

Helene is moving west-northwest at 13 miles per hour, packing maximum-sustained winds of 85 miles per hour. Weakening is forecast to begin by the middle of the week as Isaac approaches the Lesser Antilles.
