Shaw was fantastic for United in the first 4 matches of the Premier League 2018-19 campaign. And it's a big thing, we've thrown him in today after a few games of the season.

Luke Shaw has taken to social media to reassure fans he is OK after his sickening head collision during England's opening Nations League match with Spain on Saturday night.

The left-back needed treatment lasting almost seven minutes after a heavy fall following a collision with Spain right-back Dani Carvajal.

"I'm a fighter so I will be back soon!". Just when the Manchester United left-back came finally out of his blocks to get to a great start this season, he once again was hit by an injury. "Maybe he was right but I don't want to keep focusing on that".

State braces for major hurricane
According to its current track, Florence is expected to make landfall along the Southeast or Mid-Atlantic coast Thursday. Major flooding is predicted for a vast swath of land from Roanoke, Virginia to Charlotte, North Carolina.

But Shaw, 23, admits that has made him stronger mentally and he insists he wants to stay at United. "He will return to his club tomorrow (Sept 10)".

That Shaw is already driving his vehicle - something concussion recipients are normally advise against doing - shows he is already making solid progress and that, crucially, the injury was nothing serious.

The defender is unlikely to feature in Saturday's clash with Watford at Vicarage Road, although Shaw was optimistic about his chances of a swift comeback on Saturday night.

"There is still one more global game to go before league action gets back underway, but personally I am already focused on getting myself ready for what's to come in the Premier League, Champions League and the League Cup, as during this rather busy month we will be playing in all three competitions", Mata added.
