Warner Brothers is reportedly thinking about casting Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan as Superman as it looks to reset its DC Universe films.

This report comes from Deadline, who claims that Warner Bros.is now set on making a Supergirl movie as the immediate replacement for Superman after Losing Henry Cavill as the man of steel.

THR indicates that the separation stemmed from Warner Bros.' attempt to enlist Cavill to star as Superman in "Shazam!", which stars Zachary Levi, saying that contract negotiations "broke down".

Those were followed up with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) and Justice League (2017), all featuring Cavill and all box-office blunders relative to rival studio Marvel's string of blockbusters.

Instead, Warner Bros.is shifting its attention to developing a Supergirl movie.

Cavill also recently was cast in the lead role for Netflix's The Witcher, which made his availability for cameo appearances more hard.
