It's unclear how it will accomplish this, but there have been rumors floating around the internet recently that Samsung will introduce a device with four cameras - all on the back of the device. Fortunately for those who bought Verizon's Galaxy J7 and J7 V smartphones, Samsung has decided these phones are worthy of Android 8.0 Oreo.

We don't have much to go on in the news feature text but Samsung says that the "newest Galaxy device is bringing more ways to express yourself than ever before".

In terms of value, the Samsung Galaxy S9 appears to win out against Apple's latest offering.

The word "capture" in the invite also suggests it's camera related.

The 4 Announcements From Apple's iPhone Event That Actually Matter
Apple CEO Tim Cook speaks during an Apple special event at the Steve Jobs Theatre on September 12, 2018 in Cupertino, California. Similar to the iPhone X , the XR gets a notch which also houses the same advance sensors which enable Face ID authentication.

There are a wide variety of exciting options for the subject of this event, but considering how soon it's coming after the release of the Galaxy Note 9 and the fact that it seems to be online only, it's hard to imagine Samsung having another flagship product up its sleeve. However, we'd already written about the Galaxy Note9, Galaxy Watch, and Galaxy Tab S4 with S Pen and DeX. In a followup it was clarified that from their knowledge all four cameras were on the rear.

According to previous reports, the Samsung Galaxy S10's triple rear camera setup will bear 12-megapixel lens with f/1.5 to f/2.4 variable aperture, a 16-megapixel super-wide-angle lens (123 degrees) at f/1.9 aperture, and a zoom lens with a 13-megapixel sensor and f/2.4 aperture.

We also know the company is set to put more focus on its mid-range devices, so it may be this event is specifically for those upcoming phones.
