McDonald's Employees Stage Protest in 10 Major Cities Over Sexual Harassment

The strike is slated to begin during the lunch rush in major cities, including L.A., Miami, New Orleans, San Francisco and Chicago. Another woman from Gretna, Louisiana, said a co-worker would grab her hand and place it on his crotch, and would also grope her breasts and butt.

The group is asking the EEOC to consolidate and investigate all 10 charges filed in May and any additional allegations of sexual harassment that are still pending. She said all the women she knows in fast food have examples or know of people who have been affected. She was told she was acting "like a little girl" and was childish to complain about it.

"We must stand with the fearless McDonald's workers walking out today to demand the company address this epidemic of sexual harassment", he said.

Responding to rampant alleged sexual misconduct and emboldened by the #MeToo movement taking root nationally, McDonald's workers across 10 USA cities abandoned their restaurants at lunchtime Tuesday to take part in what is being hailed as the first multi-state strike to specifically target sexual harassment. Advocates are calling on McDonald's to drop the law firm defending the Weinstein Co. from the roster of those counseling the fast-food chain on its sexual harassment policy.
