Tiger Woods finally breaks through and tastes victory again

Just last month, Woods, a 14-time major victor who averaged six tour titles a year from 1999 to 2007, said he viewed this season as one of the finest of his career, because as 2018 began, "I didn't know what I was going to do, I just didn't have a clue".

Since his five-win season in 2013, Woods was cursed with chipping woes, poor putting and snap hooks off the tee. I've got a three-shot lead.

But this weekend he looked like the golfer who was ranked No. 1 in the world for a record 683 weeks, has won 14 major titles (second only to Jack Nicklaus with 18) and who has won the FedEx Cup twice. "And I've done it", Woods said at the time.

Tiger Woods won't win a major this season.

"Beginning of the year, that was a tall order (expecting to win) but as the year progressed I proved I could play", he said. Then, as McIlroy finished up, and before Woods would tap in for par, tap the putter to the ground and raise his arms, he would ward off emotion as he claimed to realize at last one towering "at last".

Tiger Woods has won a PGA Tour event for the first time in over five years after victory at the Tour Championship. "I felt like I could free-wheel it, and they went in". This is a spot I'd much rather be in than four or five back.

Kavanaugh accuser will testify before Senate panel
In an email to judiciary committee staff, Ford's lawyer Debra Katz called the deadline "aggressive and artificial". Keyser does not remember attending a specific gathering 30 years ago at which nothing of outcome happened to her.

Rose played the third day with Woods and finds himself three shots behind going into the last round.

Woods won for the first time in more than five years. Off the golf course, he had to overcome the embarrassment of a DUI arrest in the early morning of Memorial Day in 2017 when he was found asleep at the wheel, later found to have a concoction of pain medication in his system.

Rose had said it was a bit more unknown, and "there's a lot on it for him" as well as everyone else.

"You just had to suck it up and hit shots". Not bad for a 42-year-old with four back surgeries who returned to competition in December at No. 1,199.

"It's been tough. I've had it not so easy the last couple of years and I've worked my way back".

"All of a sudden it hit me that I was going to win the tournament".
