LG 5-camera phone is integrated with artificial intelligence tech such as AI Cam that recommends appropriate angles and filters to capture a classic shot, and AI Composition automatically fine-tunes the position of subjects in a scene for generating a perfectly balanced picture.

The V40 ThinQ features a 6.4-inch HDR OLED display, which is only slightly smaller than the iPhone XS Max's 6.5-inch display.

LG revealed its anticipated flagship of 2018 LG V40 ThinQ. The V40 ThinQ is LG's first triple rear camera phone and the phone even has dual front-facing cameras, so a total of five cameras are present on the phone. The battery is 3,300 mAh. There's an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 with 537 ppi of pixel density. All four carriers of course offer a variety of finance and lease plans to spread out the cost over a few years, and we'd expect to see some other deals in the works as well. The phone carries a Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB RAM, 128GB UFS 2.1 expandable storage loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo. No RAM or storage variant available for V40. Customers who will pre-order the device will also get a microSD card of 256GB from SanDisk absolutely free.

There is a 3000mAh battery capacity in the LG G7 and a 3300mAh battery in the LG V40, and both support fast charging and wireless charging. LG has included DTS:X 3D Surround Sound, too, and unlike some other flagships out there, the V40 ThinQ has a 3.5mm headphone jack. The LG V40 is also tuned by Meridian. The back of the V40 ThinQ is home to a 16MP 107-degree super wide angle lens with f/1.9 aperture, a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and f/2.4 aperture, and a 12MP standard lens with f/1.5 aperture.

LG Electronics showcased "V40", the company's the world's first smartphone equipped with five camera lenses and powerful photo imaging features. These combine for a portrait mode, which creates a bokeh effect on the background. The 107-degree super wide-angle lens allows you to fit more details or subjects easily while the telephoto with 2x optical zoom that LG claims can take clear shots from a distance without losing image quality.

On the front, the G7 has a single 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor with an f/1.9 aperture and an 80-degree field of view. There is also AI Shutter, AI Auto White Balance and Google Lens.

The body of the device is a melding of two glass panels with an aluminium frame. The company also said that it will get the latest Android 9.0 Pie OS update soon.

The phone is the latest from LG to come under the ThinQ moniker, which essentially means it has some AI smarts baked into the software. The notch is no surprise since LG has already featured it on previous releases and now nearly every smartphone company has a device with it. However, there is no word on availability in India yet.
