'She brought the episode to life and provided so much joy and energy!'

"If you've never seen the show before, this is a great season to start with".

There's one thing immediately apparent when watching the first episode of the new Doctor Who season - Jodie Whittaker is having the best time playing The Doctor.

Grace is an fantastic character, one who feels very at home in the optimistic and sometime idealistic world of Doctor Who, and Clarke plays her to perfection.

"Introducing the all-new #DoctorWho Barbie doll inspired by the iconic series' Thirteenth Doctor", the official Barbie Twitter account announced Sunday. Jodie Whittaker was convincing as the Doctor from minute one, new showrunner Chris Chibnall has slightly remixed the look and pace of the show, and I absolutely loved Segun Akinola's new score (I'll always have a soft spot for Murray Gold, but he'd gotten a bit same-y).

I ask her if the groundbreaking nature of the change - the first female incarnation of The Doctor on TV - was part of her attraction to the role.

Jodie Whittaker's turn as the timelord was well-received by critics, as well as fans in the United Kingdom who tuned in in droves to the new season of "Doctor Who". It took the edge off the episode for me, as I was constantly waiting for her demise, and the more I knew it was coming, the more disappointed I became. "I think, it's a really important moment because its 2018 and we shouldn't be surprised that sometimes our heroes are women". And as one of the tweets says above, wouldn't it have been something to see three generations of women aboard the TARDIS in Doctor Who season 11?

Blogtor Who, another site dedicated to the show, said Whittaker was "utterly believable" in the starring role. And isn't Jodie Whittaker just fabulous!?
