The list is completed by Roxy Music, Devo, Kraftwerk, the Zombies, MC5, John Prine, Rufus featuring Chaka Khan, LL Cool J and Janet Jackson.

There are some nominees that have been around through multiple cycles as well, including four-time nominee LL Cool J.

The top five vote-getters will be on a "fan's ballot" and included alongside the results from others sent to "more than 1,000 artists, historians and members of the music industry" who make up the Hall's voting body.

The 2019 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees have been announced.

Nikki Haley Steps Down as UN Ambassador
In April she announced new sanctions against Russian Federation but White House officials suggested they were premature. Haley's departure marked one of the rare examples of a senior Trump administration official making a graceful exit.

The 2019 inductees are slated to be announced in December.

Among the acts receiving their first nomination this year were Devo, an avant garde group from Akron, Ohio, best known for its 1980 party favorite "Whip It", as well as British group Roxy Music, and the American multi-instrumentalist Todd Rundgren.

Artists must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination to be eligible.

They'll be inducted at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. on March 29, 2019, in a ceremony that will be broadcast live on SiriusXM's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Radio station.

It's that time again - time for opinions to fly, arguments to be had and fan votes to be cast.
