But in November 2017, Murphy, a volunteer firefighter, was killed by an alleged drunk driver while he was helping a crash victim near his home in IN, reports the Daily Mail.

Instead the grieving bride wore her wedding dress to visit her fiance's grave on the day they were meant to exchange vows.

She hoped it would help Ms Padgett in her healing process.

Photographer Mandi Knepp, of Loving Life Photography, captured the day by shooting photos in typical bridal style: getting ready, standing with her bridal party, nieces and nephews, and parents.

Since the shoot, photos have been shared on social media resulting in a flood of responses. May God Bless you always honey.
