Ariana Grande breaks silence on Pete Davidson split

Ariana Grande broke her silence following the dissolution of her engagement to Pete Davidson.

In a now-deleted Instagram story, the Dangerous Woman hitmaker praised her fanbase while rehearsing for NBC's A Very Wicked Halloween. It's very sad and we're all [trying] very hard to keep [going]. "Love u. and thank u for being here always".

The cover-up was spotted when she sang The Wizard And I for the upcoming tribute to the Broadway musical. As she later shared on her Instagram Stories, "Can't believe i nearly let my anxiety ruin this for me today!"

Hours before quitting the internet, Ariana revealed she was battling with anxiety.

Though the reasons behind the break-up are still unclear, Entertainment Tonight reported that the Bang Bang songstress instigated the split following her ex Mac Miller's untimely death from a drug overdose. "It was time to realize this wasn't the right time for them and Pete is incredibly heartbroken".

The pair dated for two years between 2016 and 2018 and the pop star spoke openly about trying to help him deal with his addiction and depression struggles.

The last two years have been emotionally draining for the songstress.

Following their break-up, Ariana was quickly linked with funnyman Pete and the couple became engaged in July after just five months of dating. There has been much speculation about the cause of their split with sources suggesting that tensions arose after the death of Ariana's former boyfriend Mac Miller, but neither party has come forward with an official statement.
