A woman in Spring, Texas, abandoned a 2-year-old boy on a stranger's doorstep on the night of October 17.

The woman in the video dropped the child off at the wrong address and left without confirming anyone was home.

The man claiming to be the boy's father told KPRC2's Taisha Walker that the friend dropped his son off at a neighbor's home instead of his house.

The sheriff's office posted an update Thursday morning saying that the boy's father has been located.

The 23-second surveillance video shows a woman run up to a Spring, Texas, home.

The woman then knocked on the door before turning around and running away, leaving the boy behind at the doorstep.

Sheriff's officials said the woman is likely in her 20s or 30s, had long hair reaching below her waist and multiple tattoos on her right arm. The woman is not the mother of the child and authorities are not releasing her identity at this time, Spencer said. They've identified her and are planning to interview her today.
