Fans react to Diablo Immortal like disrespectful edgelords at BlizzCon 2018's Q&A

Diablo Immortal is an MMO ARPG described as a game that can be played by anyone, anywhere they please. In terms of visuals it looks on par if not better than Diablo 3. Diablo: Immortal was developed from the ground up as a stand-alone mobile experience. Each class will have a unique selection of 12 or more different skills to choose from. The new Diablo Immortal mobile game may not have been what fans were expecting, but the response by fans during the question and answer session is rude and uncalled for. Players will work out of Westmarch, a social hub where players can meet and show off their armor.

The game will launch with nine outdoor zones.

That's unexpected, to be sure, but Diablo Immortal promises to be more than just a watered-down tablet version of the original trilogy. The Loot Goblin is the first-ever Blizzard amiibo, but at this point, we don't have any idea what it will do.

If you stuck around to the end of BlizzCon's opening ceremonies you were probably waiting for a big announcement regarding the future of the Diablo franchise.

Mobile games are incredibly lucrative when done correctly and that was likely part of the inspiration to move Diablo to a mobile platform. There was no announcement of a Diablo 2 or Diablo remaster. The talk focused on games across Blizzard Entertainment's portfolio-along with a huge freebie from its corporate siblings at Bungie. An attendee at the "Diablo: What's Next" panel at BlizzCon 2018 asked about the game's intended audience, with the developers seeming to "want to reach a new audience by going mobile".

Eternal Collection contains the full classic game, as well as all of its expansion content: Rise of the Necromancer and Reaper of Souls.
