Arsenal boss Emery: Liverpool are a very good example

Arsenal took on Liverpool last night in the Premier League.

Earlier in the day, Leicester played their first match since last Saturday's bad events as they faced Cardiff City in a very emotional game. "I know if we have a very big mentality in the game and a very big performance individually and collectively - and also we need some luck - then I think we can win".

Good managers and coaches make their players better, inspiring them to perform with greater intensity, and the greatest compliment for Emery is that he is transforming several members of his squad, many of whom had been written off as no-hopers during the final days of Wenger.

"In 90 minutes there are a lot of moments to control the match".

"We had some chances and we were unlucky with the one which was disallowed, but we got a point and we move on to the next one".

Liverpool were left "very disappointed" after Saturday's 1-1 draw at Arsenal, with James Milner calling for a "more ruthless" edge ahead of their trip to Red Star.

"But the other games are important also because three points are the same against Liverpool or Crystal Palace or next week against Wolves".

After falling behind to James Milner's drive just after the hour mark, Arsenal responded impressively, carving out a fine chance for fan favourite Lucas Torreira just moments later.

Brazil's Bolsonaro wants Israel embassy moved to Jerusalem
Brazil will move its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem , the country's incoming far-right president has announced. John Bolton, Trump's national security adviser, has described Bolsonaro and Trump as "like-minded" individuals.

"I believe we were the better side today and that's how we must continue".

"We came under a bit of pressure and in the first half we probably didn't get it quite right - they switched the play and were really good at overloading on both sides", he added.

MF Mesut Ozil, 7 - Didn't boss the game but showed a few magical touches to create chances for his teammates.

And during a post-game interview, Milner was asked what taking five points from games against City, Chelsea, the Gunners and Tottenham says about the progress made under Klopp - and his reply was a characteristically Yorkshireman one.

MF Henrikh Mkhitaryan, 6 - Showed his connection with Aubameyang on a couple of occasions and almost scored with a header in the first half. The three in midfield had to do too much and then the one time we don't close the half-space. This goal could have easily seen Arsenal out, but signs of the positive changes Unai Emery has made began to show through.

Yet, even that upturn may not be enough to keep pace with a City side showing no let-up after romping to the title with 100 points.

Asked by Raphael Honigstein for ESPN FC what Saturday's test meant for the club, Leno said: "That we can take on the big ones".
