Autopsy finds rapper Mac Miller died from drugs and alcohol

U.S. rapper Mac Miller died as a result of an accidental overdose involving cocaine, fentanyl and alcohol, a coroner has concluded.

The LA County Coroner's Office describes a "mixed drug toxicity" in the official toxicology documents. The coroner listed his death as an accidental overdose. He was found in his bedroom in the San Fernando Valley around 12 PM. He was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.

Miller also reportedly had a quarter-inch abrasion on the bridge of his nose with blood coming out of one nostril.

An empty bottle of alcohol was found on a nightstand near his bed. An autopsy was performed September 10.

A sweep of Miller's home also found Xanax, Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, and generic Adderall.

Miller's death came just months after he split from Ariana Grande and weeks after he was charged with a DUI.

"It is outrageous that Poisonous Synthetic Heroin Fentanyl comes pouring into the U.S. Postal System from China", he wrote on August 20. "In China, you have some pretty big companies sending that garbage and killing our people", Trump added. Fentanyl is a powerful opioid pain medication and is much stronger than heroin.

The singer Prince had taken fentanyl before his death in 2016.
