Samsung's foldable smartphone specs leak, will be showcased at developer conference

It is reported that Samsung will produce 1 million units of the foldable device in the first year and mass production will be starting this month. The phone has been codenamed as Valley and victor also.

Currently, not much is known about the Pure White color variant for the Galaxy Note 9. Phones with the display on the outside could have something like a traditional smartphone form factor when closed, which could open up into a tablet-like form factor. Further, it could cost a fortune as rumours have it that it may be priced at almost $1,500 which roughly translates to over Rs 1 lakh.

Similar to what Samsung has been teasing about its model, this next-generation smartphone can be used either folded or unfolded, "giving it the portability of a smartphone plus the screen size of a high-definition tablet".

Apart from the foldable display itself, the challenge has been in accommodating the battery, camera module and other internal hardware. Now, the South Korean technology major is expected to take mobile standards to a whole new level with the new foldable phone, which many calling it as Galaxy X or F and further the enhance its reputation as the global mobile phone leader.
