Former Dallas Cowboys star Dez Bryant is reportedly one of three wide receivers set to work out for the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday, according to NFL Network's Jane Slater.

While he had some interest from the Ravens and even visited the Browns during training camp, Bryant has not signed with another team through the first half of the season.

Six-time Pro Bowler Brandon Marshall was also working for the Saints, along with Kamar Aiken. Running back Alvin Kamara (51 catches) and tight end Benjamin Watson (26 catches) rank second and third on the Saints.

On field again: Dez Bryant is joining the New Orleans Saints, agreeing to a contract through the rest of this season. With Cameron Meredith still in Sean Payton's doghouse for a Week 5 fumble and Austin Carr struggling to catch when thrown to, there's plenty of opportunity for someone like Bryant to step in and produce. After that there is a serious drop off and the receiving corps could use an upgrade on the outside so it is understandable why the team would be pursuing Bryant and Marshall. However, the Cowboys did trade for Oakland Raiders wide receiver during their bye week this season.

Dez Bryant could be moving closer to an National Football League return.

Bryant, who turned 30 on Sunday, has been a free agent since he was released by Dallas in April.
