As of today, Episodes Aranea, Lunafreya, and Noctis have all been scrapped and will not see a release. Oh, and the game's director has resigned from Square Enix as well. The exact reasoning behind the change to the DLC releases wasn't explained, but it likely coincides with the $33 million loss that Square Enix detailed in its most recent fiscal report, which was due to restructuring Luminous Productions. He took over as diretor on Final Fantasy XV from Tetsuya Nomura back in 2013.

Final Fantasy XV was supposed to be getting four more DLC episodes, but only one of the upcoming four will now be released.

However, Episode Ardyn (which centres around the game's main antagonist, ) will still be dropping in March 2019. You can check out a new trailer for the game down below.

Having invested so much time and so many resources into Final Fantasy XV, Square Enix was planning to keep fans engaged and spending with four more DLC packs.

A collaboration with online MMO Final Fantasy XIV was also revealed, titled "Adventurer from Another World", which grafts content from A Realm Reborn into the mainline game, coming this December.

Final Fantasy 15 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
