As the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections notes on its website, "The deadline to rectify a vote by mail missing the voter's signature is 5 p.m. on the day before an election".

Broward Elections Supervisor Brenda Snipes said she didn't know how many ballots remain to be counted, but all were being processed.

The outgoing Republican governor is running for U.S. Senate against Democratic incumbent Bill Nelson.

Scott's campaign and the NRSC will also have access to those ballots, per the judge's ruling.

In a fiery press conference outside the Governor's Mansion, Scott blamed "unethical liberals" for swinging the election results in their favor and said he was asking FDLE to investigate the two elections officials.

Protesters carrying signs for Republicans Ron DeSantis and Gov. Rick Scott crowded the entrance to the Lauderhill building, Friday morning.

Critics of the Broward vote-count operation have cited Snipes's record of engaging in dubious, and occasionally illegal, conduct at her job.

Snipe's office broke the law by failing to give a vote count on time.

A spokeswoman says state law enforcement officials in Florida have not launched any elections-fraud allegations.

Scott is backed by support from the president, the GOP and Florida's current Republican Sen.

"Their desperation has driven them to ask the federal courts to allow voter fraud", Scott campaign manager Jackie Schutz Zeckman said.

A team without many financial commitments, such as the Chicago White Sox , could choose to get involved and be aggressive. The Nationals wanted to lock up their star, but Harper felt $30 million per year for the next decade wasn't enough money.

Photos shared on Twitter showed that on the ballot papers in Broward county the section where voters could opt for Scott or Nelson was located in the bottom left of the ballot, beneath instructions on how to vote.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump tweeted on the Senate fray: "Law Enforcement is looking into another big corruption scandal having to do with Election Fraud in #Broward and Palm Beach".

The divide between Scott and Nelson is now within the.25 percent margin needed to ensure the race would first go to a machine recount and then, if the margin holds, a hand recount.

DeSantis and Scott were initially believed to be the winners of their respective races. The race remains too close to call, with Nelson narrowly trailing Scott.

Mohammed Jazil, who is representing Secretary Ken Detzner, said in a hearing Friday that by changing the noon deadline, it would cause problems with the counties that have already submitted their unofficial returns.

"The lack of transparency raises substantial concerns about the validity of the election process", said the lawsuit filed in Broward County.

Many could be heard chanting, "Lock her up!" and "Bye bye, Brenda!" referencing Broward's supervisor of elections, Dr. Brenda Snipes, as they demanded election results.

Razor-thin margins in bitter races in Florida and Georgia for the U.S. Senate and governor are raising the possibility of recounts and a run-off, potentially prolonging some of the most closely watched contests of the nation's midterm elections.

The likely recount is reminiscent of the dramatic recounts that occurred in parts of Florida after the 2000 election.

A lawyer for Sen.

A judge has ruled that Broward County election officials violated Florida law by failing to report how many outstanding ballots they have in their possession.

In a call with reporters Thursday, Nelson's lawyer, Marc Elias, said that the race now stands as a "jump ball" as counties around the state canvass their votes, but he believes Nelson will prevail in the end.
