Texas Congressman-elect and former Navy SEAL Dan Crenshaw responds to being ridiculed by Pete Davidson.

But away from the laughs, Crenshaw used the opportunity as a teaching moment.

Pete Davidson admitted during the Saturday, November 10, episode of Saturday Night Live to making a poor choice the week prior and he made amends. And [if] any good came of this, maybe it was the fact that for one day the left and the right finally came together to agree on something: "that I'm a dick".

Earlier in the week, Crenshaw did not seem too interested in an apology from Davidson or Saturday Night Live.

Pete Davidson offered a lengthy apology to Dan Crenshaw on SNL's Weekend Update over the comedian's insensitive joke about his eye patch, only to get a visit from none other than Dan Crenshaw. It was a poor choice of words. "The man is a war hero and he deserves all of the respect in the world", Davidson continued.

Spurs have won five of their last six games , with their only loss coming against Man City. Palace have struggled this season because they can not score goals consistently.

"This is Pete Davidson", Crenshaw said as a photo of Davidson appeared. "Not just that the left and the right can still agree on some things, but that also that Americans can forgive one another". Then Ariana Grande's single "Breathin'" started playing (Crenshaw said it was his ringtone), and Crenshaw asked Davidson, "Oh, do you know her?"

Crenshaw then was able to poke fun at Davidson's appearance.

"You're not wrong", Davidson replied. The congressman-elect finished the segment with a honest request that Americans respect each other on Veterans Day and shook hands with Davidson as both said "never forget" to one another. He told people to tell veterans "never forget". "When you say 'Never forget" to a veteran, you are implying that as an American, you are in it with them, not separated by some imaginary barrier between civilians and veterans but connected together as grateful fellow Americans who will never forget the sacrifices made by veterans past and present, and never forget those we lost on 9/11.

"No, I was just gonna let it ring, because that's rude to answer, let's just let it go to voicemail", Crenshaw trolled Davidson.
