Pedro Pascal Set to Star in The Mandalorian

The Narcos actor has been tapped to lead The Mandalorian, the live-action Star Wars series coming to Disney's streaming service.

Pascal's name had previously been rumored for the role, but sources say he was one of many actors being considered. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on the future of the Star Wars franchise as we learn it. She also appeared in the 2008 reboot of "American Gladiators". She's had a tendency to struggle with everything else, so suiting her up as a fearsome baddie and letting her wreck some people in the world of Star Wars sounds like it may be the best use of her talents.

Carano, the former MMA fighter, has kicked in the door of films including Fast & Furious 6 and Deadpool since getting her start on the screen starring in Steven Soderbergh's Haywire. Could he be playing the primary villain (like he did in the Tom Cruise film Jack Reacher), with Carano as his chief bruiser who carries out his assassinations and dirty work for him?

As reported by Variety, Pedro Pascal has been cast as the main character for the series.

On Wednesday it was revealed that Carano has landed a part in "The Mandalorian", a new "Star Wars" spinoff series being developed by writer and director Jon Favreau.

In addition to his other duties, Filoni has also been confirmed to direct the first episode with additional episodes being helmed by Deborah Chow (Marvel's Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates) and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok).

There is now no timetable for either series' release, but Disney+ is expected to launch sometime in 2019.
