However, Stein went on to say that the deal involving Butler could actually hamper the Sixers in an attempt to add Korver to the mix, as the best apparent salary fodder for a deal ($8.6 million in the form of Jerryd Bayless) was sent to Minnesota.

Wednesday's match-up with the Orlando Magic (6-8) marks Jimmy Butler's 76ers (8-6) debut, and from a storyline standpoint, that right there is your victor, folks.

Butler expressed confidence in Fultz during his introductory news conference on Tuesday. "If you can get a pick, that allows you to do more things". The likelihood of someone out there placing a bet on such a prop? If he goes somewhere else, I don't know what that looks like.

Another aspect that Minnesota will miss offensively is Butler's ability to get to the free throw line.

The Sixers will now be hoping Butler makes plenty of winning plays for them.

"I mean, the ball slipped out of my hand, so I had to do what I had to do", Fultz told reporters, per ESPN.com.

"If you get two rotational players, that's good", he said.

Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor admits his team struggled on the court amid Jimmy Butler's trade request, though the players publicly said they wouldn't let his situation affect their play.

Embiid is the team's leading scorer with 28.2 points per game, and the Sixers have needed him to dominate when the offense is in a pinch.

"They have a couple of guys here who are really wonderful", he said.

"My mindset, as soon as I step on the court, is to help my team win", Fultz said. It's certainly a good trade for the Wolves from a chemistry point of view, as Butler was obviously a major disruption to the team.

"I love basketball", he said. "And I'm looking forward to the opportunity". That's where my energy comes from.

"They were positive to Jimmy and positive about playing and working hard", he added. "Everything else will sort itself out".
