His casket will be transported by motorcade Wednesday morning to the National Cathedral, where a state funeral will be held at 11 a.m. EST.

Memorial services were underway Monday to honor the late President George H.W. Bush, whose casket is set to depart Houston for a public viewing at the U.S. Capitol until Wednesday and a ceremony at the National Cathedral in D.C.

Millie was famously referenced during the 1992 presidential campaign, when Bush said, of Bill Clinton and Al Gore, "My dog Millie knows more about foreign affairs than these two bozos". Bush defended his moderate credentials as a conservative wave cresting within the party was preparing to anoint his chief opponent at the time, Ronald Reagan.

Bush died Friday at his home in Houston at 94.

The locomotive has been painted the colors of the Air Force One plane used during Bush's presidency and bears the number "4141" in honor of the 41st president.

Relatives accompanying the casket will include his sons, former President George W. Bush and Neil Bush, along with members of their immediate families. "Thank you for your service, Mr. President".
