We have two road games, which are obviously very important, and two home games that kind of wraps it up. At one point, wideout Adam Thielen got into a heated segment with New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.

Including his 37 regular-season and postseason wins with the Browns, Belichick has 287 wins overall.

"That makes it hard for them to defend us", Brady said. "Hopefully we can keep it going". The Patriots are now 9-3 on the season. The bad news is the Texans, who have won eight straight and are right on their heels, enjoy the easiest schedule the rest of the way and the Chiefs, the team the Patriots are chasing, have the second-easiest. It is the second-longest streak in National Football League history.

Kirk Cousins kept Minnesota in the game early, before faltering down the stretch.

The Vikings tied the game on the ensuing series with Dan Bailey's 39-yard field goal.

The Patriots don't care if they score with lengthy drives or quick strikes, so long as they do so with recurring regularity. He gets a lot of yards after contact.

The Vikings survived a challenge by Belichick of a spot on a fourth down rush by Latavius Murray on their next possession.

Thielen also said he won't hold a grudge toward Belichick for the words the coach hurled at him. It included linebacker Kyle Van Noy coming to his coach's defense.

Patriots center David Andrews says his team is stuck between a rock and second place. 'Sometimes football comes down to a yard. We know he's talented and can play and we've got his back. And when he needed the big play, he went short.

Zimmer said he felt the offense "might have panicked a little bit" after the Patriots took a 17-10 lead.

"I've got to get better", Thielen said.

After all, that's the goal of Tom Brady & Co. every time it takes the field.

Stephon Gilmore had a bright game as usual and Duron Harmon was able to haul in an interception on a deflection amidst brilliant coverage from J.C. Jackson, who was spectacular on Sunday.

"Once you tick [Thielen] off, he explodes", Patterson said.

The Patriots ended up challenging whether the Vikings got the first down, according to Boston.com.

The only concern in the game was the way Rob Gronkowski looked.

Minnesota stopped the ensuing run by James White and New England was forced to punt.

In targeting Thielen and Diggs 15 times, Cousins connected on 10 passes for just 77 yards, as Bill Belichick made it a focal point to key on the Vikings No. 1 guy, Thielen. He slid to a stop, popped to his knee and signaled for a first down.

"Our defense, the way they played [Sunday], it's going to be tough for anyone to come to Foxboro and win when the defense is playing as well as they played yesterday", said Brady, during an appearance on "Mut and Callahan" on Monday. "I don't want us to go backwards anymore".

Over the middle two quarters, the Vikings slowly worked their way back into their latest spotlight game.

Patriots: S Patrick Chung was helped off the field in the fourth quarter.
