Suspected Ebola patient isolated at Swedish hospital

Doctors in the Uppsala hospital are now awaiting test results to see if their worst suspicions are confirmed.

The person was admitted to Enkoping hospital before being transferred to Uppsala.

A suspected case of the deadly Ebola virus has been reported by a Swedish hospital, officials said Friday, adding the patient has been isolated.

The male patient, whose identity has not been revealed, had recently returned to Sweden from a trip to Burundi and was exhibiting symptoms of hemorrhagic fever. The emergency clinic at that hospital has now been closed, and staff who came in contact with him are being looked after.
