Church of Satan reacts after Christian Bale thanked Satan at Golden Globes

When Christian Bale took the stage to redeem his Golden Globe for portraying George W. Bush's VP, Dick Cheney, in Adam McKay's Vice, he took a moment to give a shoutout to the Devil.

Bale teased that the next political figure he'll take on is Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

The Church of Satan has paid tribute to Christian Bale after the actor cited Satan as an inspiration for his latest award-winning role. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and jokingly proposed that the senator may be the next "charisma-free" politician the "Dark Knight" actor tackles.

The eldest daughter of Dick Cheney and Lynne Cheney stood up for her father on social media by slamming Bale and directing followers to the actor's 2008 arrest for alleged assault.

Bale won an Academy Award and Golden Globe in the supporting actor category for 2010's "The Fighter". The complaint was then passed to the Metropolitan Police, who spoke to Mr Bale before the film premiere but allowed him to attend the event on condition that he present himself at Belgravia police station yesterday.

The Church of Satan have congratulated Christian Bale on his Golden Globe win. Bale denied the allegation.

He thanked his two children and wife, revealing that ahead of the show she told him "less is more" during his speech.

"BREAKING: Attorneys for Satan have filed for defamation lawsuit against actor Christian Bale", tweeted Col. Morris Davis, who led military prosecutions at Guantanamo Bay from 2005 to 2007.

He said: "Thank you to my attractive wife, who told me, 'Less is more'".

"I can sink and ruin a perfectly good movie and so-so career in one speech", Bale said.
