Apple's greatest contribution to mankind will be health, says Tim Cook

Shares of Apple nudged higher on Tuesday after chief executive Tim Cook touted the company's technology pipeline and characterised worries about the company's future as overwrought. As Cook mentioned, Apple has already developed new software to perform clinical studies in a research environment, and it's made apps and other software to enable highly-regulated medical records to be stored and shared from an iPhone.

iPhone sales aren't going as strong as Apple anticipated, and earlier today, it was reported that the company turned to yet another production cut to align inventory with demand worldwide.

In 2018, iPhone maker Apple gave its chief executive Tim Cook a substantial pay raise of more than 20 percent, bringing his total compensation for the year to nearly $15.7 million, a new filing submitted to the SEC reveals. "There will be more things coming", he said.
