Batshuayi set for Chelsea return as Valencia end season-long loan deal

Valencia's general director Mateu Alemany said discussions over Batshuayi, who has fallen out of favour at Stamford Bridge, depend on "various other clubs".

The Blues must think about the likelihood of signing Mateo Kovacic on a permanent deal following his season-long loan from Real Madrid, while they already have Jorginho, Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek on their books.

The Belgium global is set to return from his loan spell at Valencia this month after struggling to make an impact and Everton are keen to bring him in, if they can unload one of either Cenk Tosun or Oumar Niasse in January.

Alemany's assessment heavily implies that Batshuayi will be moving to a different club on loan rather than returning to Chelsea.

"We are negotiating with several clubs an exit for Batshuayi", he told a news conference on Thursday.

National Basketball Association investigates deal involving former Rebel McCaw
Some have speculated the Cavaliers made the moves to spite the franchise that beat them in three of the past four NBA Finals. McCaw averaged 4.0 points in 128 regular-season appearances with the Warriors in the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons.

"I expect he will leave in the coming hours or days", Alemany said.

The Belgian global had a fairly unsuccessful spell with the La Liga side, scoring just three goals from 23 appearances in all competitions.

"We hope that, for his sake, this can be resolved as soon as possible".

Batshuayi was taken off at the end of the first half and the Valencia coach admits that he saw nothing but lack of effort and application from the player during the game. He may have not done well during his time with Valencia but did display his quality during the stint with Dortmund.
