On Friday, Edulji called for suspension of the two players pending inquiry after the BCCI legal team refused to declare their outrage-evoking comments on women a violation of the code of conduct. The recent episode became quite the centre of attention for all the wrong reasons, so much so that the comments made by Hardik Pandya and K L Rahul even resulted in strict action being taken against them by BCCL. According to the latest reports, it is said that two cricketers could face an indefinite ban for their comments. COA member Diana Edulji is now seeking legal opinion on the matter. Hardik is presently in Australia along with the Indian cricket team where they have won a historic Test series against Australia. "It does nothing to the spirit that we've been able to create within the change room and these are purely individual opinions and something as I said which is inappropriate".

During the first ODI in Sydney, Kohli broke his silence about the ongoing controversy of the cricketers in front of the media.

While Rahul was expected to sit out of the playing XI for the first ODI, Pandya was a sure-starter in the role of an all-rounder. Pandya had boasted about hooking up with multiple women and being open about it with his parents during the interview.

Pandya's comments on the show, which aired on Sunday, were slammed as misogynistic and sexist, and drew a lot of flak from all corners. It prompted the CoA to send a showcause notice to the duo.

"You are just watching and observing how (women) move, as I said I am a little from the black side (influenced by West Indies culture) so I have to see how they move first", he said.

Phillies rumors: Expect Manny Machado decision in the next week
It seems apropos the Phillies' pursuit of coveted free agent Bryce Harper could end in Las Vegas this weekend. After years of consistent losing, the White Sox and their loaded farm system are ready to start winning now.

"I have recommended a two-match ban for both players".

Pandya and Rahul will now be the subject of an enquiry as per the new BCCI constitution, where Rule 40 states: "The BCCI shall appoint an Ombudsman at the Annual General Meeting for the goal of providing an independent dispute resolution mechanism".

The grievance redressal that could fall under the said Ombudsman's purview include misconduct or indiscipline by any player, umpire, team official, selector or any person associated with the BCCI, according to Rule 41 of the BCCI constitution.

If they are suspended pending inquiry, the legal team has recommended the appointment of an ad hoc Ombudsman, which could well mean more trouble for the duo.

As the controversy built up in the following days, Pandya took to Twitter Wednesday to issue an apology: "After reflecting on my comments on Koffee with Karan, I would like to apologise to everyone concerned who [sic] I may have hurt in any way".
